Carrs Park Wilmslow Review
Located in the centre of Wilmslow village is the Carrs Park. It’s a really popular park and on a sunny day you will probably find it difficult to park in the main car park. Take a look at our Carrs Park Wilmslow Review and find out about all the fun activities at the Carrs.
Our Review of the Carrs Park Wilmslow
The Carrs Park in Wilmslow has lots of fun activities to offer. It’s based along the river Bollin. A walk through the park, will be about a mile. Though you will no doubt stop lots along the way. There is a kind of “beach” type section middway in the Carrs Park where you will always find kids paddling during the sunshine. Located next to there (by the bridge) is a small picnic and BBQ area – yes we have tried both out – a family BBQ with friends here with disposable BBQ’s was a real hit! There are also two park areas – one has recently been upgraded with lots of new equiptment. The other park is more “natural” themed with wooden play facilities and climbing area.
As you wander through the Carrs Park Wilmslow you will find lots of other fun free activities including free tennis courts, skatepark, basketball ring and lots of space to play football. As a treat there is generally an Ice Cream van most times of the day. A little tip we found is that there is a car park located at both ends of the park. The Car park at the village end is pay and display, the other car park is free. The only downside we found is that there ar eno public toilets on site – but this is currently changing with new toilets due to open in the summer.
Overall this is always a hit for a day out for our little testers – take some scooters or bikes for added fun. Overall Joshua gave this a big double thumbs up review
How to find the Carrs Park
The Carrs Park Wilmslow is located right next to St Barts Church – with parking at the Parish Hall which is pay and display. However if you drive up the “cliff” and turn left at the top, a little way down Styal Road is more free parking and gives a nice walk up to the Park along the River.
